objects (fixed expressions of good wishes)

3. WISH + that + clause: meaning
w wish = regreat
that things are not different in impossible, unlikely or unreal situations (= if)
Ex. I wish (that) I’d studied Physics rather
than Economics.
w Nevertheless, HOPE is used for wishes that seem
possible in the future.
Ex. I hope you have a nice birthday.
