PHRASAL VERBS. STUDY TIME


get away with                = to go unpunished; to avoid blame, criticism for doing sth bad
get over                         = overcome; feel better after sth or sb has made you unhappy
hand back                      = to give back; return sth to the person who gave it to you
live up to                        = be as good as expected
look back                       = to look behind; remember; to think about sth that happened in the past
point out                        = to identify; to show or talk about sth because they are not aware of it
put off                            = discourage; decide or arrange to delay an event or activity until a later time or date
turn out                         = appear; attend; be known or discovered finally and surprisingly
