= the same as and it is collocated before a subject+ verb or a past participle
- = because
- after some verbs including describe and regard
- in comparisons, with adjectives and adverbs
- = for example
- with expression the same…as
- in the phrases:
            Ÿ as far as I know (I think it’s true but I don’t know all the facts)
            Ÿ as far as I’m concerned (this is my personal opinion)
            Ÿ as far as I can see/tell (this is what I’ve noticed or understood)
